Hi, I’m Neil, a male voice over artist from London, England! I’ve been providing voice overs for e-learning projects, documentaries, training videos and more since 2004.

I’m freelance, working independently of voice over agencies. I have my own broadcast quality studio, delivering 5* rated, professional voice over services.

A London Voice Over

Let’s start with my voice, what do I sound like?

I was born and raised in London, UK. As such, I deliver authentic British voice overs, as you’ll hear when you play the showreel.

Throughout my school years I had regular elocution lessons, and, thanks to that, I have a neutral, non-regional accent that is most closely matched to received pronunciation.

My voice is naturally warm, friendly and engaging. It works well with many voice over genres, including e-learning, commercials and video narrations.

Being a professional male voice over artist I tend not to voice female parts, unless you’re after a butch sounding girl!

The Road To Professional Voice Over Talent

The Journey Begins

My background is in radio, hosting national shows for stations including Capital, Heart and Smooth. Radio is where I began my journey providing voice over services.

The very first project I worked on was for a listener who ran a business involving coaches. He wanted a safety message voiced for his passengers.

Having heard me on the radio and liking the sound of my voice, he got in touch to ask if I would be kind enough to provide one.

That was two decades ago! From there, it snowballed!

Next Stop, Voice Over Professional

I built a voice over website and bought recording equipment, so I didn’t have to keep sneaking around using the radio studio.

More and more people got in touch asking me to record a professional voice over for them, from start-ups to blue chip companies.

And here we are today! The website has changed a bit, the studio has been upgraded (a lot), and I seem to have lost some hair!

At my fully sound proofed studio, on industry leading audio equipment giving HQ crystal, clear audio.

Audio Editing

After recording, I’ll edit your audio so it matches the script, taking out any breaths, pauses etc.

Fast Delivery

Your professional voice over audio with be delivered via Dropbox, ready to use, on time and on budget.

Working with Neil has been great. His remote recording capability makes it easy to collaborate and the sound quality of the promptly delivered narration is perfect.

Professional Voice Over Artist With Studio

Forget the fact that I’m a voice over in London, one of the most costly places in the world, hiring a voice over anywhere could be expensive if they don’t have their own studio; the fee to hire a studio alone could completely blow your budget.

Studios aren’t cheap!

When using my voice over services you’ll be pleased to know the rate includes recording in my very own professional voice over studio, which is built with industry leading audio equipment. It also has the capacity for you to remotely join the session and direct me, if you wish.

I can't recommend Neil more highly. He is responsive to requests, excellent to deal with, and, most importantly, the end product is fantastic.

FAQ's About My Voice Over Services

Over two decades, I’ve voiced every genre imaginable: e-learning, corporate, radio/TV commercials, YouTube videos, documentaries, book narration, on-hold messaging, and more.

From individuals to start-ups, charities to blue-chip companies, I’ve provided top-rated voiceover services to all.

Yes, I do! I’m a voice over in London with my own studio, which enables me to provide British male voice over recordings for clients around the world.

I’m also happy to record at a studio of your choice, if you wish. However, the cost would be more expensive and I’m not sure why you’d want me to when I have my own studio, which you can remotely join me in via Zoom, Source Connect or ipDTL.

When joining me remotely, nothing you say gets recorded. I can hear you and you can hear me, we can even use video, if you like, but the only thing that get’s recorded is my voice.

If you’d like to, yes! It would be a little cramped in the studio, but you’re more than welcome to come and see me record your voice over in person.

It would save time and money if we did it it remotely, that way you don’t have to trek across London. See the question above this for more details on doing a voice over remotely.

That depends who you ask! In my view, yes! I offer a more affordable service compared to a voice over agency due to the fact that I’m freelance, have my own studio and, most importantly, I charge per word rather than by the hour.

I offer professional voice over services minus the middle man of an agency, which can only be a good thing as it saves you money and time, as you’re dealing directly with the talent.

Because I charge per word there is no fixed cost that I could give you, it all depends on the length of your script or video (length of script is a much better metric to use when requesting a quote as there may be pauses or gaps in a video where no voice over is needed).

My rates go as low as four pence per word for larger projects. The price includes recording at my studio, editing the audio so it matches the script (taking out any breaths etc.) and then delivery of your ready to use audio, in your choice of format.

If you have a one off project you could use my instant quote calculator for a no obligation, free and fast quote. Or, you can contact me if you have an ongoing project or larger project.

You can find the calculator and contact form on the contact page.

No! It can be hard to hear how a voice over would sound working on your project until you actually hear them with your words.

I will happily provide a free voice over sample of your script, with no obligation to use my services.

You can request your free sample here.

Oh, sorry about that. You can see the full list of FAQ’s here. Or, feel free to contact me directly with any voice over related questions you may have.
