I record from a purpose-built professional studio in London and can connect with clients using ipDTL. The
high-quality master is recorded locally, edited and delivered in the format your production requires.

Professional sound from a dedicated studio
My London studio is purpose-built and acoustically treated for voice recording. The equipment includes:
- Neumann U87 Ai and TLM 103 microphones
- Avalon M5 microphone preamp
- Apogee audio conversion
- Adobe Audition and Pro Tools
- Presonus studio monitoring
Using the same controlled recording environment also helps maintain a consistent sound across repeat projects
and longer series.
Connecting through ipDTL
ipDTL provides low-delay, two-way audio through a supported web browser. I send you the joining information before the session.
You will normally need:
A computer
A reliable internet connection
Headphones
A microphone for talkback
A current supported browser
A wired internet connection is preferable where possible. Headphones prevent the studio audio from feeding back
through your microphone. You will not normally need specialist recording equipment because I record the master
in my studio.
How a remote session works
Send the script and brief
Tell me what the voiceover is for, the audience, desired style, deadline and usage. Include any reference material, pronunciation guidance or timing requirements.
Agree the quotation and session time
I will confirm the price, what is included and a suitable time for the session.
Receive the joining instructions
I will send the ipDTL link and any preparation notes. Please join a few minutes early so we can check the
connection and talkback.
Direct the recording
You listen while I record and can request changes to tone, pace, emphasis or pronunciation.
Receive the master audio
After the session I edit and deliver the agreed files. Talkback and client comments are not included in the final audio unless separately agreed.
Prefer not to attend
A live session is optional. If the brief is clear, you can send the script, reference audio and pronunciation notes and
leave the recording to me. I can provide alternative takes where agreed and send the finished files for review.

Usually, you can join using the link and instructions I provide. I will confirm the exact arrangements when the

No. A remote voiceover session is the service. ipDTL is one of the technologies used to connect the client and
studio.session is booked.
Will my computer record the final voiceover
No. The master voiceover is recorded locally in my professional studio. Your device provides the connection for
listening and talkback.
Can several people attend
This may be possible depending on the session requirements. Tell me how many people need to join when
requesting a quotation so the connection can be arranged correctly.
Can you record without a live session
Yes. Many projects are recorded from a written brief without the client attending.
Are remote sessions included in the price
This depends on the project and the required session time. Any session charge will be stated clearly before you
book.
